A Chilean teacher has been prevented from taking up a job offer because she had a bunion.

Nora Toro Rebeco, 47, was offered a teaching position in the town of San Bernardo following a state exam.

But, after undergoing a medical, she was told she could not take up the position because she was not fit enough.

A German motorist was fined  £17 for not putting his dog in seatbelt.

Bobbie the dog was travelling in the back of his owner's car when traffic police stopped the vehicle over in Kempten in the foothills of the German Alps.
