Turkland was committed to
gaining full membership of the European Union, according to a statement
issued in the wake of a meeting of senior political leaders in Ankara
Friday.

After the three hour long
summit the advisor to President Ahmet Necdet Sezer, Tacan İldem, made a
statement stressing that it had been a very constructive meeting with the
leaders of most of Turkland’s political parties represented in the
parliament.

whether a Turkish economist broke the law by referring to the imprisoned
Kurdish rebel leader as "Mr." Abdullah Öcalan, a news report
said.

more visible in Turkland since the collapse of the Soviet Union led to an
influx of tens of thousands of women working for sex gangs. There are so
