03 Buradaki "Now," cümle açılışı, bizdeki "Bakınız şimdi," "Bak şimdi," söze girişimiz karşılığıdır.
05 "d" şıkkı gramer olarak doğru, fakat anlamı yanlış. Demek ki, grameri aslında yanlış!
06 İkram sorusu olduğu için "some" ile sormamız daha doğru. Yakın kişilere "Do you want any ........ ?" şeklinde sorarız; fakat resmi ortamda veya hatırlı konuklara ayıp olur.
11 Sorunun besbelli olan yanıtı "e" şıkkıdır. Fakat, "c" şıkkının geçerlik kazanabileceği durumlar da vardır. Bir örnek: "On my fortieth birthday, I decided to bring together all my childhood friends in a re-union party. But, alas (heyhat), it was a fiasco; for (çünkü) the world had changed a lot since the days we were children."
12 Geçerli olabilecek başka cümleler: I want both of them. = Her ikisini de istiyorum... Either one will do. = Hangisi olsa olur.
16 Olağan durumda, besbellidir ki bildik bir garajın bildik bir kapısından söz ediyoruz.
17 Mantıksal çıkarsama.
20 "e" şıkkının geçerli olabilmesi için cümlenin şu şekli alması gerekirdi: "Tell me when you two met last night." Soru sormak istiyorsanız, iki ayrı cümleye bölmelisiniz: "Tell me. When did you two meet last night?"
